THE APPAREL JOURNEY
Crafted sustainably — from ocean cleanup to you.
EXPLORE THE PROCESS
Each NW SEA-Shell jacket helps remove approximately 88 plastic bottles from the ocean. Through our partnership with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE®, marine litter is recovered by certified sea cleanup programs, sorted at local recycling centers, and transformed into premium yarn at specialized mills in Spain and Mexico.
This closed-loop, fully traceable system ensures transparency at every stage, from ocean recovery to yarn creation to ethical manufacturing — guaranteeing authenticity and purpose in every piece.

Marine Litter Collection
We source SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC, primarily composed of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) — the same durable plastic used in water bottles and food packaging. This plastic is recovered through certified cleanup efforts across marine and coastal zones, then transformed into a force for good.

SEAQUAL® Yarn Creation – PET Recycling
The collected PET is shredded, cleaned, and converted into SEAQUAL® Marine Plastic pellets, which are then spun into yarn in locations such as Spain, enabling and supporting local circular economies.

Fabric & Jacket Production
The yarn is transformed into fabric and hand-crafted into NW jackets in small-batch facilities in Portugal, where ethical labor and low-waste production are prioritized. Every stitch reflects our commitment to quality, functionality, and sustainability.

Distribution
From Europe to the U.S., each NW jacket follows a tracked, low-impact route. Our logistics partners help ensure the supply chain remains visible from origin to arrival — keeping our promise of traceability.

Worn with Purpose
Now it’s in your hands. As the final link in the journey, NW Apparel delivers a product that connects global cleanup efforts, circular fashion, and eco-conscious consumers. Your jacket is more than apparel — it’s a symbol of accountability, resilience, and reclaimed waters.
