The story Behind NW Apparel

Noire Waters began as a dream between two friends from Atlanta, a pharmacist and a higher-ed professional, united by the belief that life’s best moments happen on the water. What started in 2021 with a single yacht in Washington, D.C. has grown into a global charter brand, curating sailboat and catamaran experiences from the French Riviera to Jamaica. Along the way, Noire Waters became more than a charter company, it became a lifestyle rooted in heritage, connection, and sustainability.
NW Apparel carries that vision ashore and at sea. Built for the sailing world, our pieces move with the rhythm of the water, whether you’re trimming sails, cruising, or showing up as “seat meat,” because every presence counts on board. You’ll find NW Apparel at regattas, aboard our catamarans, and with first-time sailors discovering the ocean.
Beginning in 2025, each piece is crafted with SEAQUAL® Yarn spun from upcycled marine plastic collected through global cleanup efforts. This isn’t just clothing. It is community, sustainability, and style that moves with you, because no matter how you show up on the water, you deserve apparel that feels right, carries meaning, and gives back.

“Every stitch in NW Apparel is intentional. We design with the sea in mind—not just for how it looks, but how it performs when nature tests it. This isn’t merch, it’s clothing with a purpose."

"I bought the Noire Waters jacket for a trip, but now I wear it everywhere. It’s functional, clean, and actually feels connected to the brand, not just something with a logo."
